About Jennifer
Jennifer Sorensen Whitaker, CD (DONA), is a certified doula and board member of the Utah Doula Association. Jennifer received her childbirth educator training and certification through Advanced Birthing Concepts and her doula training and certification through the DONA International program. She is a member of DONA International and is trained as a Hypno-Doula as well. Jennifer says, "I feel absolutely honored as a doula and childbirth educator to be able to share in the experience of pregnancy and childbirth with the wonderful women and families that I work with. Each woman or couple is beautifully unique. It's a lot of fun working with new people. To top it all off, I get to witness miracles! There is no other field I would rather be in".
Jennifer can't get her hands on enough to read and enjoys writing as well. Most recently she has been published in DONA International's own quarterly publication "The International Doula". Jennifer has also written for Utah Family Magazine and Utah Health Magazine. Jennifer is currently the editor of the Utah Doula Association newsletter.
Jennifer has lived in many places across the United States, including the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Nebraska, and Las Vegas, Nevada just to name a few. She has however, she spent the majority of her childhood growing up under the sunshine of Arizona and is now happy to call Salt Lake City, Utah her home. There she lives as a proud mother and wife with her husband and three children .
